Despite the sneak peeks into Season 3 taking most of the attention, there was an actual panel at San Diego Comic Con, featuring Meghan McCarthy, Tara Strong, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain, and Cathy Weseluck. Comics Alliance has a transcription of the interesting bits, available here. Kudos to The Round Stable for digging this up.
Speaking of the sneak peeks, apparently McCarthy is the one who wrote the lyrics to them:
