Ponies driving cars? Remember the video I posted for Rainbow Blast Dash a few days ago? Well it seems Xeol has started up a team and moved the game over to a 3d venue using the unity engine. The above video explains what is going on with the project, and gives you a very basic taste of what we’ll be seeing. Enjoy!
Time for a little merchandise news, especially if you missed it over in the hurricane that is EqD. An art brony named Atlur got some cell phone pictures of some back stock items at Target, apparently the Canterlot set and DVDs that will be coming out on August 1st. You can find the pictures here in the EqD article.
First off the Canterlot set, I’m not even sure what is going on here. It looks very flat, and almost like its a big thing of cardboard. Of course this is meant to be a toy for children, but still. I remember having Greyskull Castle from the He-Man series back in the 80s, it was molded plastic and had a drawbridge and was very cheap, but still very cool.
The DVD on the other hand seems to have everyone upset. We are unsure if this is what they were talking about at the MLPCon Q&A. It contains two episodes, Suited For Success and Ticket Master. Its said all these items carry a “Canterlot” theme to go with the toy, but of course begs the question as to why only one of the two episodes is even remotely Canterlot related. And its said that the DVD isn’t even HD.
[Personal Opinion]: The DVDs are just a ploy to suck the hard earned money of parents away to make their children happy. $10 for two episodes is a bit insane, and we thought iTunes was smoking something with their prices. As said in the comments from EqD, hopefully there will be an actual DVD/Blu-Ray set created for people in HD. But only time will tell. They know hardcore collectors will get these DVDs along with anything else they put out, and that’s just money in the bank.
On an unrelated side note, it was pointed out to me that our comment section was “login” only, there was no anon choice. This has changed, and now you can hide in the shadows and comment (or heckle).
The weekly live cast of the big 10th episode for The Brony Show is tonight! Have some copypaste.
The Brony Show will be having their 10th episode live today at 6PM Pacific – 9PM Eastern. You can find the live stream on our front page link at http://thebronyshow.net. We’ll be interviewing part of the team behind the flash game My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The Fiends of Dream Valley. We also have an interview with Sir Sprinkles of Brony Movie Night to talk about a new streaming event they’re doing. Along with all the news, fan content, and hilarious randomness that only The Brony Show can bring!
Go listen to some pony!
And that is your weekly wrap up. Feel free to tell me if these suck, or are good, or well, anything. Either way, I leave you with another Derpy picture. You can also catch me tomorrow night at the Brony Show (in the audience) as I will be attending.
I gots dat swagga
Hey Everypony someone linked this in a chat and I thought it was worth sharing (as my first post here at derphyhooves)!
It’s a single youtube upload containing all 26 episodes in chronological order and is over a whopping 9hrs long!
So what are you waiting for ponies? Book a day off work, invite some potential bronies round, call up your ISP and get watching!
Well I’ve been meaning to keep up with these guys, but sadly fell way behind due to work and the whole nine yards. BronyComm (Brony Commentary) are two dudes who have gone over almost the entire season (4 left to do) and commented (obviously by the name) on them. Its an interesting watch, especially if you watch the episodes over and over by yourself.
So join them (and their accents) over on Youtube.
And then we got a parody video, which made me laugh, so it must be posted. Think of it as two people saying “Lets do a parody video” after getting really really drunk.
