The above chart somewhat created/copied from a document put together by Foalpapers is a listing of all the known planned conventions for the 2013 seasion. Of course issues could arise that may cause the cancellation of an event, much like the Winter Moon convention that was to take place in Georgia.
* Approved conventions are those conventions that have passed the “DHN” guidelines for conventions, listed below.
DHN Convention Guidelines
Due to the sheer volume of conventions in the 2013 season, we are currently screening all incoming conventions who submit press releases or else wise are published on DHN. Outside of real conventions there are some groups which are calling a large meetup group, a convention, and even possibly attempting to get show guests. Meetup announcements which are very much fandom related as published on our entertainment site, LyraHeartstrings.com.
If you are a new convention that is submitting an announcement / press release to DHN, please including information to the following questions:
- Location of the Venue.
- Maximum Capacity of Venue Space.
- Number of badges/tickets that will be sold online/at the door.
- In contact with Hasbro, have they given general approval (if required).
- Entire organization is housed under a proper business licence or non-profit organization.
