Aidan McAteer, an animation revisionist for FiM and who’s also known for animation on Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, released a clip reel of animation samples from various projects he’s worked on.
The video is sprinkled with several clips from FiM, with a couple from Season 2!

Its kind of like fishing, you wait around long enough, something interesting is bound to pop up. Earlier today Lauren Faust released 14 sketches from the 2008 series that would become part of the “FiM Bible” on her DeviantArt account. It includes a few “what could have been” things which are interesting.
The above is something someone noticed, Mortimer the Mouse, aka the original concept of Fluttershy’s companion character.

For those in the UK who are looking for the pony blind bags, they will be officially available come this autumn/winter season (just in time for xmas…), so you’ll no longer have to pay outrageous overseas shipping to get them. I would assume that shortly after, other Euro countries will see them too.

At MechaCon in New Orleans this past weekend, con volunteers were issued ID badges emblazoned with Rainbow Dash’s signature salute.
And here I thought that I was the entirety of the New Orleans fandom.
With our little transition to news, we kind of cut out helping people get the word out about random things in the fandom. Instead of randomly posting these as they come into the site, we shall start Submission Tuesdays, where once a week, we post up the non-news submissions that have been sent in. Otherwise I feel like a dick not posting them.
Truthfully when I started writing this out, I thought I had more random submissions, but it turns out I have two sites and a font to post about, and then like 20 video submissions. So you may see some shit like Video Thursdays appear in a few days, same idea, once a week showcase of videos that have cropped up. Its an idea we’ve been toying with (each day of the week having 1 post dedicated to something, like videos, art, etc).
Anyways, here’s what I got this week.
